The new firmware works fine. Without 30/30/30.

firmware: 3.14.3 Build 130320 Rel.39025n

This probably means that you have not done 30/30/30, before and after installation. In this situation, hardly update is complete.

When I flashed the beta firmware all my settings were erased (with same procedure)

Tested all 3 firmware versions. They all blow. After a half hour there is 9,5 mbit left of my 100mbit connection. Intra-networking slows down to 600kb/s.
Tech-support doesn't take the time to reply to mail. TP-Link is leaving the building. My advise to anybody: read the forums, then decide if you want to buy one.
Just reconnected my old Linksys WRT-160N. Works bloody stable and brilliantly compared to this piece of crap...

Unfortunately, the above post is true. I also stoped my new TL-WDR4900, and re-use my old router. I still can not figure out how, supposedly reputable company, you can put on the market a device that should be high class, but in fact, it is working like a router class cost 10-15 euros. We are waiting for a solution, if at all someone cares about it.

with the latest firmware (20-3), i don't have to reset the router. Now stable 4 days. Only the speeds drops!!!!!
I had the idea with the 800mhz processor it should have no problem handling the speed. I have 120/10 mbps internet connection.
Disapointingly downloading with 3 mb/sec

Moreover, it can not handle high speeds, the device has serious difficulties with a large number of simultaneous TCP sessions (1000), the router starts to Drop connections. For comparison, the router with 200 MHz processor handles these connections without problem.

Noticed there's a new firmware version released:
http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TL-WDR4900&version=V1

Anyone tried it yet?
