Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

AX50/AX3000 set to Access Point mode.

It has internet connection when using DHCP, but when I change it to Static IP, it says No internet connection.

Most likely it cannot access default DNS server addresses..

How to Change DNS server addresses on AX50/AX3000 when using static IP? There isn't any option in GUI for it.

thanks!

The default GW should be the DNS. Look what IP address you receive for the GW, when in DHCP mode. Then switch to static IP and put that IP address for the GW.

Just to confirm - you are using bluet (Internet) port for connecting(uplink) AX50 as an Access Point ?

It is the GW address that is set, but I need to specify my ISP DNS servers for the AX50 internet connection to work. Clients behind AX50 work ok, as they get DHCP/DNS from router but AX50 itself doesn't see internet if I change it to Static IP, as there is no option to specify DNS servers :/

In AP mode you can't set DHCP for Internet interface. Just make sure your ISP device is connected to the blue (internet) port of the AX50. I am using the same scenario.

Tried LAN port and WAN port, samething happens. When using DHCP, AX50 admin interface has internet connection. With static IP, it doesn't have connection.

Well, it seems the software upgrade is the only feature that needs internet connection on the AX50 itself, so I can manage with this..

if you are also using AccessPoint mode, pls check this too:

Are you using the latest FW for your AX50 ? Try to upgrade if you're not. Then try factory reset and reconfigure from scratch. After that connect ethernet cable that way: ISP(LAN port)=> AX50 (Internet port). Then see if that makes any difference.
