Hi,

 

I have two PCs within my home network connected directly to the router using Cat 6A cables and both PCs have gigabit ports, however when I'm only seeing tranfer speeds up to 680Mbit/s. I used iperf3 for these tests and can't seem to figure out what's happening here. I was looking through the router settings and saw that the SPI firewall is turned on, could this be causing the slowdown? Any other advice on how to diagnose or fix this?

I just updated my network driver and now  things seem to be running at gigabit, thanks!

PCs in the LAN should not be affected by the SPI firewall - it's more about incoming connections from outside your LAN. Are you with the latest drivers for your LAN adapters. Have you tried with different cables ? The other thing you could try is to switch off as many services as possible (not needed) on your router and see if that matters.
