Hi,

 

I have a Archer C6 wifi router. I am facing a problem with the router where when after powering on the router is working for about15-20 minutes but after that all the lights start flashing and the router stops working.

 

I have tried doing a factory reset and also even upgrading to the latest firmware. The issue still persists. After powering on the router works for 15-20 mins after which all the LED's start flashing and it stops working.

 

Should i maybe check the power adapter?. Any way to run any diagnostic test on hardware/power adapter?

If you use the original power adapter that should be fine. So you are with the 1.3.6 version now, right ?

Have a hard reset - (Method 1) and see if there's any change.

If the issue still persists then lower the wireless transmission power to Medium or Low for both bands and test again.

I initially tried a hard reset, but the issue was not resolved. I am in firmware version 1.3.5 now, it was the lastest i could find in the download center.  I will try lowering the power , any specific reason all the lights randomly start flashing, does this denote any particular scenario?

It could be due to a couple of reasons.

Is your FW an EU version ? You should be able to see that on the sticker at the bottom.

If it is, then upgrade with this FW to 1.3.6:

Then after the FW upgrade, do the hard reset (my first post) and test.

If that doesn't improve things, then try lowering the wireless tramsmission power (my first post) and test again.

Hey , My archer c6 is not fw, it is EU version

By FW I meant firmware. So if it's EU version go ahead with the link I posted earlier.
