I have just installed a Deco M5 system, mostly all going very well. However, I can't get our Google Home (original version) to connect. In the Google Home app, I can find the device, go through the association process etc, but then when I select the network, it says "could not communicate with your Google Home." I previously connected on the 2ghz channel - not sure if this is impacting? I have both 2 and 5ghz turned on in my Deco system.

Enable Guest WiFi network, set it with different SSID than Main network, password protect it. Disable 5GHz on Guest network.

 

Try connecting Google Home to Guest network and see if it works.

Thanks for the help. I ended up doing a factory reset of the device, and it worked when I reconnected.

@mattsykes - Is that a factory re-set of your Google home devices?  TIA
