Model: AC50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

So, This is kind of a let down.

So im getting nowhere close to advertised speeds being right next to the device using it as an AP, and its outright refusing to work with ethernet out.

Any ideas?

Is that the router in question ?

If it is, then looking into the tech specs you can see that its ethernet ports are only 10/100 Mbps capable.

If you want to achieve the advertised speeds of 867 Mbps you can do that only using its wireless 5GHz band. (2.4 GHz band is up to 300Mbps)

Keep in mind that the wireless media type is half-duplex, so if the connection speed is 867 Mbps, you can have a real throughput of 433 Mbps (half of the bandwidth).

Bottom line is - when in AP mode, you are restricted by the speed of the ethernet port of C50, which is 100 Mbps, no matter that its wireless speed can go up to 867 Mbps.

Please, describe your setup/topology and hardware (router model, HW version, FW version, etc.) in more details for the purpose of troubleshooting.

@Ivaylo Its a C50EU V4.20

Setup currently is:

Router Port 1: Switch

Switch port 2: PC

Switch Port 3: C50

I've even tried:

Router port 1: C50

Router port 2: Switch

Same results.

On the switch for my PC i get full Duplex Speeds. On the C50 (plugged into the same switch) 100mbps maximum.

Swapping the cables&ports between the PC and C50 gives the exact same results.

Using LAN on the C50 also gives 100mbps speeds. not close to Full Duplex or the 876mbps advertised.

All cables used are known working CAT7, swapping the cables gives the exact same results
