Hi

I have 1 device of m5 that will work as the main device, i want to purchase another unit but im considering buying unit of m4.

Can they work together?

Yes, they can. Shouldn't be any issues for them to be in the same Deco mesh.

TP-Link suggests using M5 as Main Deco, if to choose between M5 and M4. 

 

The order of preference in choosing Main Deco between different Deco hardware models is provided in the following FAQ article: Can different Deco models work together?
