Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi All, we have a deco mesh serving all kind of devices, phones, pc, printers.

All is well UNTIL we try to connect from a pc which is connected to another network (for example PCs which are attached directly to the router, and not to a Deco).

So we have:

router +----- switch ---> PCs with address 192.168.0.xxx

           !

           +----- Decos Mesh --> devices with address 192.168.68.xxx

How can I tell the Decos to "let thru" the other IP address range ? Because the PCs in the 192.168.0.xxx range cannot reach the 192.168.68.xxx range (even if both are connected to the same router).

Thanks

EDIT: I guess this would work:

router  ----  Deco +----- switch ---> wired PCs with address 192.168.68.xxx

                    !

                    +----- Decos Mesh --> wireless devices with address 192.168.68.xxx

without messing with access point mode..

@Prinex

Yes, it will work, when Main Deco is connected to the router and the rest of home network is connected to (through) Main Deco.

without messing with access point mode..

Allow me to disagree. It is very easy to reconfigure Deco mesh to run in Access Point mode. If you only use Deco to improve WiFi signal, and not for features like parental control, traffic management, etc. - consider running Deco in AP mode.

The benefit of AP mode is absolute flexibility in how you can deploy Deco nodes and wire them to home network. You will also get maximum possible throughput when Deco does not have to manage traffic, as it does in router mode.

Your original configuration would do just fine if you change Deco mesh Operating Mode to Access Point mode. That is changing just one configuration setting in Deco app.

@Alexandre.

And of top of that you dont have all the traffic running thru the one port left on the deco (before reaching the switch)
