Voucher not available in EAP245
Hi! I just bought the EAP245 for a small hotspot business that I'm willing to launch soon. The voucher authentication method is the one that's ideal for me. I don't see that option as a authentication method in the portal. Do I need the hardware or software controller in order to make it available? I thought that option was available in the standalone version. Thanks!

Hey
No unfortunately Portal authentication of any type requires some portal server online running a web-service to manage the login, namely a wireless controller. This can be the Software Controller or an OC200/300.
The OC200 is a fairly cheap device at £50 / $70 (US) and should allow you to manage this remotely also, I would recommend you go that route

@Philbert yes that's what I suspected so I ended up buying the OC200 last night. That's a misguide from tp-link because they state voucher authentication on the EAP245 is available while on some other similar models it doesn't, so I thought I didn't need any software or hardware controller. That's the main reason I bought that AP. And what's worse I had to also buy a POE switch because the OC200 doesn't come with power adapter. Plus some more ethernet cables for the wiring Weird!
