TL WR740N keeps disconnecting every few days when bridging connection
Hello All,
I am currently using the TL-WR740N Model to act as a wifi extender, The main router being the TL-WR840N. Everytime I set up a WDS bridge using the TL-WR740N, all goes well up until 3-4 days after the setup and my computer or phone is not able to connect to the bridged connection, I have followed every instruction given, turned off DHCP and all stuff like that. So I was wondering if there was a fix for this?.
Thanks

Check if you wireless security settings are set as follows:
Test again if your setting were different.
In general WDS is not the most reliable backhaul. Restarting the 740N from time to time to re-build the WDS is normal.
If you want more stable connection, then I would advise you to configure 740N as an AP.

Have you set a static wireless channel on the root router ?
If you haven't done that, when the root router (if set to Auto) changes the channel the WR740N will loose its connection.

@terziyski I have just tried this for a week and just yesterday the bridge cut out and I needed to reset it again so I dont think this might be the case
