Model: AC50
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: hardware v4.2 has one firmware

I set it as an access point but it lost the wireless name and password I set.

It remembered I disabled the 2.4GHz. :-)

It has the default name and password for 5GHz (TP-Link_5D4B_5G) with the default password.

I can't connect to the management interface on the new network.

The AP works fine but going back the default name asnd password and no management interface suck.

@terziyski We had a computer wired to it with a static IP on the TP-Link Deco (main router) and it didn't work.

We made it dynamic on the Deco and it worked.

Very weird but thanks.

@bjlockie

Try connecting your computer to the AP by cable.

If the AP works fine you should be able to open its management interface.

Then set your wireless SSID and password as per your requirements.
