Model: Archer C60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 Build 20161206 rel.60287

Hi,

I'm unable to obtain IP address from the router to any of the android device. I have 4 Android device at home and its not connecting to any of the device. I tried all the best practice of Android settings from Forget the Network, Reboot, Clearing Google Play Services, Network Reset. Also tried rebooting the router but it still didnt work. I also tried resetting the router and then it works for some period but again same IP configuration failure. Currently I'm using Static IP on all the Android device and reserved that in DHCP server. Unless its Static IP on the phone it all works the moment i switch to DHCP it doesn't obtain IP address at all. I'm using the Router past a year without any issues and facing this only from yesterday.

Do you use any special features like DHCP address reservation, access control or IP MAC Binding on the router ?

If you do, disable them and test again.

It's possible that your android devices have updated and they are using randomized MAC address:

If you need to use those router features, then configure your android devices to use the device MAC address instead of randomized MAC address.

I now use DHCP address reservation, access control through which I should input Static IP and use device MAC address in mobiles. It connects fine but if I just disable DHCP address reservation/access control and connect with Wifi on DHCP it doesnt work. This is same case with my Kindle or Echo Dot which doesnt have randomized MAC address still the issue persists. Somehow my Echo Dot is working with Static IP but I'm still struggling to set up Kindle.

I don't want to take this complicated using DHCP address reservations and access control. I want to use the router as simple just plugin and setup the basic setup but it doesnt work.

Also it was all working fine with basic setup for 1 year and suddenly it just stopped connecting and I had to use Access Control and DHCP reservation and use static IP in my devices.

I would suggest if it doesn't too much effort for you to hard reset the device - method 1 and re-configure from scratch. Then test again with basic settings obtaining the IP addresses through DHCP.

You may backup your router settings before resetting the device so if that doesn't help to restore your old configuration easily.
