AX21 - can't see uPNP share unless there's a Windows computer also on?

I bought this AX21 about 2 months ago. I have noticed a really peculiar issue.
Inside our home network, I have been running a media server (MiniDLNA) on a Linux system for years (previously I used Netgear wifi routers). Everything worked fine.
I do not necessarily use the media share often so I just noticed the problem fairly recently.
With the AX21 now, I am unable to see the media share from MiniDLNA unless there is also a Windows computer active on the network. (Windows 10 seems to have some default file sharing enabled that I've never been able to pin down.)
This is happening for both our Chromecasts (3 of them, using VLC to play media) as well as e.g. VLC running on a mobile device. Browsing the local network section, there is no share listed until I also turn on one of the Windows computers.
Since I have a workaround it's not the worst tihng that could happen, but it's still very frustrating. Anyone have ideas?
