Model: TL-WR940N
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 3.20.1 Build 200316 Rel.34392n (4555)
Hello, I have a problem with the router, I have a contracted internet speed of 300mbps, but when I do a test from the pc, the router only gives me 100mbps.
I have the TP-Link configured in "access point" mode.
The cable that goes from the main router to the TP-Link is category 7 and the one that goes from the TP-Link to the pc is also category 7.
If I connect the main router directly to the pc, skipping the TP-Link, I have the correct speed, 300mbps.

@Menosmola

That's because the TL-WR940N has only 100mbps ports by specification - hence the bottleneck when using it with your main router via ethernet cable (even with category 7 cable).

What you could do to utilize the speed between TL-WR940N and your main router is to set TL-WR940N in Range Extender mode.

Teoretically if you configure TL-WR940N in Range Extender mode you can reach about 225 mbps via wireless connection, but that speed depends on wireless interference around you, distance and obstacles between the routers - why don't give it a try.
