Hi there TP-Link community.
I have brought this wireless card for about one year, and I always was intriged by the fact that according to Windows, I'm always connected through the "n" protocol (Wi-FI 4), I still match the max speed through 5GHZ (833mbps) so no big deal, but since the card is advertised as "AC" norm, I would really be able to connected it through that protocol.

I also have a DELL laptop, and it has no problems to connect through AC norm, altough my desktop with this card, isn't really able to do it.

Can you guys help me out?
Cheers

@4Klassic Hello,

The max link  speed of Archer T6E  is @ 867Mbps at 5GHz / @ 400Mbps at 2.4GHz

If your link speed is 866Mbps, that means your adapter is actually working on 802.11ac, WiFi4 or 802.11n should be just a display problem.

If your current driver works stable,  personally I recommend you to stick with the current one.

Ahh you are absolutelly right. Dispite windows says that I'm connected through "N" protocol, I've downloaded other applications to confirm, and all said I was at AC "protocol", so windows is just mismatching the protocol :D The connection is fine overall, I just tend to have a "lag" spike every certain ammount of minutes without explanation even when getting rid of all background process/services. But my bets are placed on the router since it's the typical low end routers that ISP provide. Thanks a lot for the help.
