Model: Archer T4U
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Archer T4U(USEU)_V3_181023_Win

The adapter works really well most of the time averaging 30-40mbps download speed (as per speed test), which is what I would expect from my wifi, but on occasion it randomly decides to start downloading at max speed of 1mbps which makes my computer practically unusable.

Notes:

  • When the slowdown is happening the signal is exactly the same as it was.
  • I don't think its a problem with my router since wifi speed on my phone and my laptop is not changed during the adapters slowdown.
  • I had this adapter for about 3 weeks and I had this problem all along.

Below is the instruction to manually install driver:

If problem still exists, may I know the model of router, please help check the computer motherboard info and send us the photos: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/

Does the Link speed (your phone) keep the same when T4U speed become slow? Is there any certain network activity like gaming, streaming, or download when speed becomes very slow? Can you help share the photo of speedtest results on T4U and the speedtest results on phone (at the same location of T4U computer) as a comparison ? Thank you,
