I am attempting to improve the signal quality by connecting TP Archer C6 router to my VDSL router provided by ISP. Finding it difficult to get it to work. ISP is not responding very well. Anyone please guide.

Best way to extend your ISP VDSL router's Wi-Fi is to use the C6 in AP mode - Case 1.

Thus you'll avoid the double NAT in your network.
