Region : Others

Model : TL-WR740N

Hardware Version : V4

Firmware Version : 3.12.11 Build 120320 Rel.51047n

ISP : Lattelecom

When I choose WPA/WPA2 - Personal security level (while in router Wireless>Wireless Security) (it's receommended, version and encryption are left to automatic), enter desired password and reboot, coverage starts to appear and disappear so frequently I don't have time to connect to router using any device. With disabled security everything is ok.
Reseted to factory setting twice, checked setting, changed router password right after.

First thing you have to make is update firmware (TL-WR740N_V4_130205) and next make settings. After that you make new test and give as answer.

So I have updated fw, thank you.

Problem still exists!
Here is what it looks like: after router is turned on, my wireless devices can connect to it and stay there for about 2 minutes, after that, coverage is lost and reestablished again, then lost again and again, and again. They can't connect to it anymore, it appears in the list and dissappears all the time. Tried two absolutely different wi-fi smartphones, result is the same. Happens only when I use recommended security setting WPA/WPA2 - Personal, as described in the first post. PC can be connected to router at the same time via wire, everything is ok with that.

Here is system log:

Try different channels. Besides, try channel width 20MHz.

So I have tried that.

That didn't changed the situation. I've tried 20MHz width with auto setting and all the other channel numbers, result was different data transfer rates, coverage strengths and with channels 12 and 13 I had no coverage at all. Tried setting to 40MHz also, but that didn't changed anything.

New observation: problem will not start until I start using data, by, for example, running speedtests.

And again, I set wireless security to disable security and everything works correctly! Unless anyone now can connect to my router and reduce my speeds..

Switch off any "automatic" in router settings, something like that - LINK

Did everything like in those screenshots, except couldn't change Default Gateway, got:
Error code: 26106
The IP address is not in the same subnet with LAN IP address.

tried 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.3.1, 192.168.4.1

Didn't helped

Why do you want to change the gateway? In my guide, I gave only example.
