Region : Australia

Model : TL-WDR4300

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

ISP :

I've been using inSSider on Windows and trying different settings on my 4300 to get wireless n @ 300MHz working with no luck. The maximum I seem to be able to get it to run is 144MHz.

Is this a fault with the router or the firmware? Since the router is advertised to run at 300Mhz, then by rights if it does not or cannot, then TP-Link owes everyone a refund, at least in Australia because this counts as false advertising.

I had a similar issue with my 1043ND as well.

Has anyone got a 4300 working at 300 MHz?

Probably, wireless card built in your laptop is working at 150Mbps.
If it is also 300Mbps, on 4300 page, change channel width to 40GHz and secure your network as WPA-PSK, AES.

InSSider indicates the max speed of the link is 144Mb/s but it should read 300Mb/s. I can see other routers in my neighbourhood indicating 300Mb/s. The laptop is capable of 150 Mb/s but it's only connecting at 72Mb/s. It is only 1 meter from the router.

I have other devices that I know can connect at 300Mb/s but they will only connect at 72Mb/s. My Samsung Galaxy SIII will connect at 150Mb/s and does connect @ 135Mb/s on 5GHz but only 72Mb/s on 2.4GHz.

The channel width is 40MHz. I have currently set to WPA-PSK2 & AES but I tried WPA-PSK & AES and it made no difference.

I have had a NETGEAR WNDR3700V2 running at 300Mb/s and 150Mb/s to the same laptop, so I know the laptop and router will work.

Perhaps you have some other ideas?
