Region : Netherlands

Model : TL-WDR4300

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version : 3.13.23 Build 120810 Rel.44064n

ISP : tele2

Hi,

I am using the WDR4300 as AP only.

On the wifi-lan I disperse IP-adresses with dhcp. I have no nat settings.

Lan ip-range is 172.16.80.0, wan ip-range is 192.168.1.0

The wdr4300 has ip-adresses 192.168.1.251 (wan, static ip) and 172.16.80.80 lan/wifi
Firewalling and nat are Off

However, when I try to connect from a non-wifi host to a wifihost (from 192.168.1.2 to 172.16.80.106, port 22 or 80 or 9091) the traffic is blocked at the router.
When I connect form one wifi-host to the other (172.16.80.4 to 172.16.80.106) this is no problem.

My pc has the route to 172.16.80.0 via 192.168.1.251 and in tcpdump I see that traffic for 172.16.80.106 travels via 192.168.1.251

Can I get to a console to tcpdump or see logs by command prompt? Is this a known error?

As far as i know, if you want to use it as a AP, it is better to connect 4300 to your own router through one of the LAN port and disable the DHCP function, then there you go. It seems your setting is a little complicated. When all the devices are in the same LAN network, there is no such a problem.
