Hello,

I have managed to set up a soft ap mode with my TP-LINK adapter however I have encountered quite a large problem. I bought the adapter as a means of connecting my old WEP devices to my new WPA router which due to roommates and security concerns I am unable to change.

Is there any way to change my soft ap mode from WPA to WEP or even open, as it will only be used with those devices and removed when not in use? There is nothing in the drop down :(

Any help is much appreciated,

Thanks

Soft AP help you transfer wired connection into wifi connection. Very confused why you have old WEP connection. There is no security of wired connection.....

Certainly, you may install utility to change WPA to WEP or even open.
