Small hotel - free wifi - TD-W8968 & TL-WA830RE
Region : Others
Model : TL-WA830RE
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP :
As a small hotel/B & B), I'm setting up the following configuration: main router (linked to ADSL): TD-W8968 plus TL-WA830RE on the first floor (right now they connect wireless, but it will become a CAT 5 cable). At this moment WIFI reception is great throughout both floors. The owners use the internet all day on 2 wired pc's (cables straight into the modem router).
This is what we would like: instead of giving guests the main password (yes, we know...), we need a set-up of different 'guest networks' - the main network is for the owner, separate networks for guests. Best would be to hand out a pin-code (per network) which expires (say after 12 hours).
My question is two-fold:
1) how do I set up the hardware - it being as secure as possible/feasible? On both PC's there is AV and firewall - ideally, the main network should be hardware-firewalled as well (I assume)
2) what software could we use to generate temp. access-codes for guests? It will be free access, so no payments (or pc/time-allocation - other than expiration) needed. Someone suggested internet-cafe software, but that seems overkill. Another thing to consider: should we log guest-usage? In case of undesirable surfing behavior and we get a notice from our provider (highly unlikely)?
Any suggestion welcome (I did look around here, but couldn't find specific answers) - thanks!
