hello , i was looking to see if anyone can help me,

i can set up my WA850RE fine with no issues, however after a few minutes it causes my modem router to crash and re-boot , it only does this when i turn on the range extender , i have used other brands of extenders in the past and they have worked with no issues.

i have upgraded the firmware and re installed it a few times but still same problem. my modem rouer is a thomson tg585 V7

can anyone help?

Is your hardware version 1.00 or 1.20?
If yours is Ver 1.00, contact your retailer for a replacement , Ver 1.20.
It said that if there's some trouble to make Ver1.00 work properly, customer can ask for replacement Ver1.20.

Having just posted the same issue, I to have this router, extender is a 1.2 model and is doing the same thing. As soon asa device leaves the range of the router to go via the extender the router reboots.
Is there any update on this ?

It seems you guys have the same thomson tg585 V7 modem router.
You guys may contact thomson to help you do some tests or provide you some advices.

I have the same problem.
I have TL-WA850RE extender and Thompson router provided by Plusnet.
As soon as I have connected, my router loses the wireless and ethernet lights.
About 30seconds later all lights go.
Then my internet has gone.
I have to switch off the extender to be able to use the router.
I am taking my extender back to the shop next week and rejecting it.
