Strange DNS Problem

I have an internal network with its own DNS server. The TL-WA701ND's IP is 10.0.0.x, and its forward address is x.domain.local. Strangely, if I try to access the WA701ND from its hostname, it accepts my login credentials but then displays the errors below in each frame.
If accessed from its IP however, the login works perfectly. Any ideas why it's finicky about receiving queries by its hostname?
