Each new firmware released, works worse.
The company should compensate the suffered customers of TP-link.
I dare say, most are former clients.
We should make a class action lawsuit against the company!

Here are some of the complaints about this router:

TP-Link firmwares are BAD, and am being polite here. Both remote management and PPPoE don't work properly on WR1043ND_v1_130428.

However, do try Gargoyle firmware. I just switched my 1043ND to the latest version of Gargoyle and am very satisfied. Issues I mentioned above, including disconnects GONE!

Hope tp-link can do a test with the Gargoyle firmware and improve their firmware in the future...

tp-link is a weird company, the hardware components are very well, but the firmware is sucks, and we need to install and use alternative firmware all time, and what about routers that do not support alternative firmware because of realtek chipset like 1042nd? they stuck with the bad stock firmware without the ability to install any alternative, and must return the product to store.
this is very frustrating and disappointing me as a customer, this will be the last time ever that i purchased products from this bad company, i will find an alternative good companies.

If TP-link don't change this fact, the company will lose a lot of market shares in the near future...
The customers hate the unreliable products...
