Hi,

I have a modem/router (cisco) from my ISP. It is placed donwstairs. The wifi signal is weak, so I have no wifi upstairs. So I bought a tl-wa901nd. My idea was to put the tl-wa901nd upstairs, connect it wired with the cisco and use the wifi signal form both. However, I don't know what modes to choose. Repater isn't possible for there is no signal to repeat (the wifi signal from the cisco doesn't reach the tl-wa901nd). Is this possible, and what modes to choose? Any other ideas?

as you post connect it wired with the cisco use AP mode, but you are going to have 2 SSIDs one from the Cisco another from the TL-WA901ND this last one you tyoe any name and encryption you wish.
