Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel 59387

Hello. I am a little confused about the different firmwares related to Deco M9 Plus. In download area there is information about how to read the hardware version on the back. It says as an example that 1.x is hardware version 1. When it comes to hardware version 2 there different ones,  2, 2.8 and 2.2.

According to the stated example you could read this as 2.x and consequently all different firmwares of 2.0, 2,2 and 2.8 are possible updates even for hardware version 2.x.

Now in my case on the back side of my three M9:s it is written version 2.0. 
So now my question: can I update my firmware to latest firmware Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2.2_1.5.3_210309 that is listed under hardware version 2.2 or is latest firmware Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2_1.5.1_210126 for me?

 

Anyone triednv.2_1.5.3_210309 on version 2.0?

The HW version on the bottom sticker is mandatory to determine the proper FW release.

In your case if on the bottom sticker says HW v2.0 then you should use this release - Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2_1.5.3_210309.

Thank you for your reply but there is actually no such firmware Deco M9 Plus (EU) _V2_1.5.3_210309 in the drop down menu choosing V2 at TP-Link download site. Where have they hidden this download?

 

I can only find Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2_1.5.1_210126 at https://www.tp-link.com/se/support/download/deco-m9-plus/v2/#Firmware

Thank’s. Do you have any idea why firmware v2.0_1.5.3 is not to be found on official site? Do you have an adress where firmware i to be found, like official and betas? /Jannek999

Ok, I followed the link you posted and it’s actually located in drop down menu under HW version 2.2 Ther you can find EU_v.2.0_1.5.3 Very strange that they put firmware for HW v2.0 under HW v2.2 /Jannek999

It's the HW V2 (EU) FW latest release from the official support website:

Thanks for this link. I used TP-Link Sweden and was directed to a TP-Link download site that just looks the same but the downloadable file for HW version 2.0 differs from the one you linked me to. At the site I used to use the 1.5.3-file is not available. I’ll put your link to my favorites list. Thanks for your help. /Jannek999
