Hi,

I recently purchased the archer C6 router. I have been previously using an EE smart hub. This ee smart hub was connected via a cable from a BT openreach mk.4 master socket 5c. This was plugged into the smart hub in a port named "broadband" (not the wan port).

Upon getting my C6 router, I attempted to set it up by plugging this cable into the blue internet port. Upon doing this, I am told that the "WAN port is unplugged".

In my very limited understanding, it seems I may need a modem? Is the master socket 5c not sufficient?

I would really appreciate any help!

Kind regards,

H

@Hostillius

It seems like you need the modem.

If you keep your EE smart hub, connect it like it was before. Then connect an ethernet cable from its LAN port to the C6 WAN port (Dynamic IP).
