i made a new password for signing into my router webpage and now I can,t remember it. Do i have to reset the router back to factory settings or is there a
n easier way. I also have another router connected to my main router which i am using as an extender,would i have to then set that up again as an extender.

If you forgot your router management password then you have to reset it to factory default - admin/admin.
If you re-configure the main router after the resetting procedure the same way as before (SSIDs, wi-fi password, etc.) you don't have to setup the extended router again.
