Hey Guys,

 

I just purchased and AC1750 router and need info on how to set it up for use with no internet access ever.

 

The router will never at any time be connected to the net.

It will only have a computer connected to it once during setup.

 

The router will have 2 lan devices connected to it and many wifi devices all with no internet ever.

 

I downloaded the manual but it does not list how to setup the router for that usage.

 

I have not received the router yet but should be delivered tomorrow or the next day.

You should configure the device the same way as it would have Internet access.

You can skip connecting the modem to the C7 WAN port and continue further.

Here's a video guide for setting up.

Thanks for the fast reply to my post, I really appreciate it.

 

 

Ok I will setup like normal then.

I was just asking ask it did not work with my old router as devices could not see each other.

 

I get router either tomorrow or the next day as it is coming from Amazon.

It should be fine like that.

You can disable some features that won't be needed in your case like:

Firewall, DoS protection, UPnP, OneMesh, IPv6.

No need to upgrade the device FW.

Thanks for the help.

 

I will let you know once I get the router in a couples days.

 

I do have one more question i forgot to ask.

Should I update the firmware if needed or is it not needed since Router wont ever be online?
