Downloaded the latest firmware version Archer_C20_V4_181213 from the following link: https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/download/archer-c20/v4/#Firmware

Tried to manually upgrade the firmware version on my TP-Link Archer C20 v4 router.

I used wired connection as suggested.

 

It fails with following text:

Error: 4503.

The uploaded file was not accepted by device.

Current Firmware version:

0.9.1 3.16 v0001.0  Build 161130 Rel.68411n

 

Hardware version:

Archer C20 v4 00000004

Make sure that you're suing the correct FW release (device region and HW version should be confirmed).

Here's a guide on how to determine these details - usually from the bottom sticker of your device.

@terziyski I'm using the TP-Link India site and when I select HW version v4, the site shows me FW for Archer C20(EU).

I don't see a Archer C20 FW available on the site.

 

However, I have another router which is Archer C20 (EU) version but that says "you got wrong file" and won't take the FW either.
