You could check if the device is recognized from Device manager: Go to This PC/ Computer--> Computer Management--> Device manager/ Other Devices and see if tp-link adapter or 802.11n XX is still available under Device manager or Other Devices?

Double-click on tp-link adapter and let us know the Status of the adapter.
Here is the official driver for TL-WN823N, is there any error when you try to install driver for it?
