Model: Archer AX1800

Hardware Version: V2

Firmware Version: 2.1.1 Build 20210826 rel.34706(5553)

I set up a guest network with 2.4GHz/5GHz and WPA(2) security enabled, but I can't seem to connect.

I can see the SSID, but when I try to connect it fails getting an IP address. I tried this on both my phone and my laptop.

No other security options are enabled like MAC filtering or scheduling, so I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work.

The model is AX1800, but hardware version says Archer AX20 v2.0. Not sure why? I installed the latest beta firmware, but this hasn't helped.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. I disabled DHCP since I'm running a DHCP server on a Pi attached to the router which obviously wasn't accessible from the guest network.

Thanks for the info.

I disabled the security but the issue still remains. The firmware was given to me by NordVPN support since the VPN client on the router didn't work either before.

Any other ideas?

Here's how to determine the HW version and FW region of your device - bottom sticker.

Have you tried to use this setting for the security of the guest network:

Have you tried to connect when "No Security" is selected for the Guest Network ?

Where did you get this beta FW from ?
