AX20 behind bridged modem
Hi, I just bought an AX20 planning to use it behind a bridged TG-789 modem. The bridge works as I previously had another modem there but wanted to upgrade the performance.
I have tried it in normal mode and AP mode - but nothing works.
Any help appreciated, or as a fallback can I use it on an HFC connection at a friends house?

You can set AX20 in AP mode (Case 1) with a LAN IP address within the TG-789 LAN range.
For example if TG-789 LAN IP address is in 192.168.1.0/24 then for AX20 (in AP mode) LAN IP address you can set 192.168.1.254.
In that case the connection should be TG-789 LAN port => AX20 WAN port thus extending wireless coverage in your home.

Thanks for the reply. I tried AP mode amongst other things - to no avail.
As the TG789 is bridged, it doesn't have an IP, so I am not trying to use the AX20 as a repeater.
I did just manage to get it working, but after all the fiddles I am not quite sure what worked. I am tempted to do a factory reset then see if I can get it working again - worst case is I get frustrated and lose a couple more hours.
Maybe I will just take the win and leave it as it is.
Is it possible (and how) to take a copy of the config?

If TG789 is bridged then you should use AX20 in wireless router mode - same connection as for the AP (TG789 LAN port=>AX20 WAN port).
Then AX20 will be your main router.
You can do a configuration backup/restore - details in Chapter 14/2 in your user guide.
