Hi,

 

I have just purchased a AC1750 Range extender to boost my Wifi Signal into the rear of my house. I have an EE Internet Service (with their new Router) and after setting up realized that I cant have a single SSID in my house and the Extender just creates a new network

 

Any ideas how I can create a single roaming network?

 

Will I have to change my EE router to a TPLink or is there another way

Hello @NJD 

Range extender can have the same SSID as main router, here is an instruction to change Wireless settings via Tether APP:

The SSIDs from router and range extender are still two separate SSIDs,  most nowadays devices could remember the credentials and roam between the SSIDs, though it is not a seamless roam. If you prefer seamless roam, please have a look on tp-link OneMesh, that requires a tp-link OneMesh router and OneMesh extender:
