I have just bought a new router. I turned it on, connected all the cables like my previous tp link router and i tried to set it up. I started doing the quick set up and at the end it said "Connect to internet" or something like that i don't remember. I checked the router and there is an orange light. I turned my previous router back on and it still worked but the new one doesn't. Is the router broken or there i just some other things i haven't tried yet?

Make sure that the WAN (Internet) port settings in the new router are the same as in the old one.

If the issue persists clone the WAN port MAC address from the old router to the new one and test again.

Here's a guide for MAC address cloning - you're targeting Case 2.
