TL-WA901ND Options to extend BT HomeHub4 WiFi range
Region : Argentina
Model : TL-WA901ND
Hardware Version : V3
Firmware Version :

Hello All,
I have just bought a TL-WA901ND online and while I am waiting for delivery I thought I would think about the best option for me to set this up.
In the house I have just moved into, the home hub is at the end of the house and I am struggling for WiFi upstairs.
There is already a CAT5 cable that goes upstairs so I thought I could connect the TP-Link device to my home hub via this cable.
Does this then mean that the only option I have is to set up a new AP? Are there any other options? I'd quite like to be logged on to the same SSID in case I am walking around the house with a connected device.
If I set it up as a repeater, will I get quite a performance hit? I think I might be able to find somewhere that has a slightly better than poor WiFi reception and I could put the TP-Link device there.
Any input much appreciated.....
