Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have the following setup...
Omada software controller v5.0.29 running on Ubuntu v20.04.3 LTS controlling...
4x EAP245(EU) v3.0 on 5.0.4 firmware
1x EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 on 5.0.7 firmware

There are 2 existing WiFi networks on the above equipment which run well and are a mix of 2.4 & 5GHz with band steering.

I have a requirement to setup a 3rd WiFi network for IoT devices.

  • It must be on 2.4GHz band,
  • It must be on b/g only.

Is there any way to change the mode so I can satisfy those requirements. 2.4 only is easy it's the mode I can't see. I have looked at the Rate control setting but, it's limited in what it can do.

Thanks
Jonathon

@Stoneditch Hi Jonathan,

There is a discussion still active regarding this issue: Missing AP Wifi Mode on latest update - Business Community (tp-link.com)

I'm afraid there is no clear solution (yet?).

@Stoneditch

I agree with WtrN06, as far as I know, changing the mode directly is not currently supported,

but you can refer to this thread(https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/224162) to configure and see if it can achieve what you want.
