Model TL-WN722N.
After disconnecting it from the USB port, the wifi icon disappears, although I pressed to enable the wifi adapter.
Win 11.
Never had wifi problems before pluging in theTL-WN722N.

If the Wi-Fi icon disappears, that could be related to adapter driver and usaully could be fixed.
May I know did you disable or uninstall the driver of built- in WiFi adapter?
Please refer to guide to here to enable "WLAN AutoConfig" service on Windows & Check if Wifi adapter is Enabled or not:
Why cannot I find or connect to my wireless networks?
If still the same, please contact PC/laptop manufacture to update the driver for the adapter or troubleshooting.
