I have a wa901n which I am using as a WAP, I have run a cat5 armoured cable (approx 50 meters) to an out building which is connected to my router, I am using the POE (i have also tried without the POE) however the middle light flashes and the connectivity drops, when I connect the wa901n direct to my router using the cable that came with it, it connects fine, all 3 lights stay on and I am connected. I have checked the cable and I know that is fine as I can plug it into my laptop and have internet access. What am i doing wrong?

Most probably the ethernet port of the 901n doesn't like the cable that you've made.

What you can do is to re-crimp the cable from the 901n side and if the issue persists re-crimp form your router side as well.

It's a good idea to use a cable tester to check the connectivity.

have tested with cable tester and its fine, have also connected the cable to laptop and TV to check and both work, its just the 901n that is having the issue?

These ports can be fastidious sometimes.

@terziyski do you think sending it back and getting another may resolve the issue?
