Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

Hi,

we have the Archer C2300 as the WiFi router (connected to a Sky modem via ethernet cable).

I would like to block access to TikTok via the router, so that it can't be accessed by the laptops in the house and by the mobile phones.

However, all tutorials I find for tp-link routers are, "Go to Access Control > Host > etc" However. on the C2300 Access Control is under the sub-heading of "Security" and there is no "Host" option?

Kind Regards,
Andre

  @Andrexs

can you not block this via the ISP websafe controls?

BT Full fibre 500, 1x X60 V3.2 in router mode and 1 x XE75Pro V2.

  @klipse Thanks, good idea, haven't thought about this. I did set this now up in Sky Broadband Shield, but so far it's not working. Maybe takes a little bit until the settings take effect?

But would that also work if TikTok is accessed via the iOS App?

Kind Regards,
Andre

  @Andrexs

On C2300 the only option for restricting access to a particular website is the Parental Controls.

If you're aiming at TikTok it's probably worth to check these findings.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".
