Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Replaced my router and finally had a great signal but even though I loaded the most recent version of the T4U's driver, it insisted on connecting at 2.5ghz.   Fixed it by going into Device Manager, Network Adaptors, TP-Link Wireless USB Adaptor, Advanced, Wireless Mode and changing it to "IEEE 802.11a/n/ac

Shouldn't have to do that, but...

@lawlib  Glad to know change go to Adapter Properties> Wireless Mode> 802.11a/ n/ac helps resolve the issue.Thank you for sharing solution here with us,

I ‘d also leave an FAQ here in case some uers meet similar issue: Why cannot the adapter detect the 5G Wi-Fi of my router?
