i have a the RE450 Range Extenders connect to my home network.
but can I set it so that the wifi signal has a different password and has no access to my home network but to the internet?

No, you can't use a RE as a regular wireless router.
RE450 has two working modes: Range Extender and Access Point.
In both cases it will have access to your home network.
