Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to link 2 RE505X extenders together via ethernet. The way I want to set it up is have 1 extender connected to my wifi router (not from tp-link) and then connect it to the other extender via ethernet. Is it possible?

Yes, that's possible with ER505X :

Topology:  router )) (( RE1 <Ethernet> RE2 (AP mode)

This requires that the RE2 supports AP mode.
