Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1_20210204

Hello, I have 3 separate systems using Deco X60s.  One system I created a separate network with just 1 of the X60 units I have. I put that in my office at my business. At one home I have the other 2 units. At another home, I have 3 more X60 spread across the home. These are 3 different locations on different internet providers.

On all 3 networks, I am having wifi issues. It's not just me, it's my wife and my family. The wifi will either not connect or it will lose internet connectivity intermittently. These are all X60 units in 3 completely different locations all having issues at the same time. I finally put it altogether and I have to believe it's something to do with this firmware version 1.5.1_20210204. I don't think the networks in all 3 places would break at the same time. I wanted to downgrade the firmware but I couldn't. I replaced the units at my business with Eero routers and it's been fantastic.

Is this a known issue or is there a firmware I can load to fix this issue?

Hi, I have the same issues with 3 x60 modules in my home. All my 3 units are on the same network. And I have another issue you didn't describe, I don't know if anyone else has it : when I am in my bedroom or dinner room I access my network without worries, but when I try to access the same network from my office, my iPad Pro says  me that my password is not good. If I don't change anything and goes back to my dinner room, it is working...

I don't understand...

see you,

Emmanuel

@Duduledur I also had that same issue you had and I'm pretty sure it's the same problem I was having. I figured out my problem and I'm not sure why it happened. But all of my systems had fast roaming disabled, I think this is default. I turned it on and it's working fine now.

In your Advanced Settings, check Fast Roaming and enable it. I rebooted routers just to make sure it worked and now things seem to be OK again. I'm thinking the firmware update must have did something to require Fast Roaming to be turned on.

Thanks for your quick answer. I checked and it still was on. But I localised that the problem was with the x60 in my office. I rebooted it yesterday and, for the time being, it is still working.

regards👌

Well the fast roaming seemed to have some good effects but the router is still having issues in 2 separate homes with 2 separate systems. There is some kind of a problem going on here and it doesn't look like they are eager to address it so I'll be taking this router back to Costco.
