Hello, everybody. This is my problem:

Until yesterday I was using the wireless router TL-WR2543ND for my network with 5 wired computers and 3 laptops with wireless connection. Everything worked 100%, including ports forwarding.

Recently I was forced to purchase another router with Load Balance to take advantage of 2 connections WANs at same time. For this, I bought the router TL-R470T +.

I made a new connection between the routers as follows:

ISP 1 / ISP 2 -> TL-R470T + ---> TL-WR2543ND ---> Computer 1, Computer 2, etc ...

With this new connection, I have internet access on all computers, the load balance works correctly (including the WAN link backup). However, port forwading rules that I set up once before in TL-WR2543ND are not working anymore.

I just need a very simple port forwading rule for wake one of my computers (Wake on Lan). Just redirect port 9 to an internal IP (192.168.0.x). It worked perfectly when I used only the router TL-WR2543ND.

How should I do to make these rules go back to work?
In which of the routers should contain the port forwading rules?
The DHCP of both routers should be enabled?
In which range of internal IP the routers should work? Same range? Different range?

I'm really confused and would welcome any help!

Observations may be important:

1 - My wired computers need to be connected to the router TL-WR2543ND and not the TL-R470T +, because I need gigabit speed (TL-R470T + does not offer this feature). The function of the TL-R470T + is just to provide the two internet connections so that I can work with a backup link.

2 - The wireless router TL-R470T + are with IP 192.168.0.1, DHCP on assigning IP in range 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.199.

3 - Router TL-WR2543ND is with IP 192.168.1.1, DHCP on assigning IP in range 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.199.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

You have to set a DMZ into your 470 to the external IP address of your 2543.
To do that, I suggest you to set your 2543 WAN port as static 192.168.0.2 for example.

Disable the firewall in your 470.
