Archer C1200 Tmnet Malaysia Print Server won't turn on

I have an Archer C1200 supplied by Tmnet Malaysia for their Unifi service.
The firmware is the latest available from the TPLINK Malaysia website and is supposed to be for the TMNET Unifi version.
I want to connect a printer to the USB port on the rear of the router so it can e shared between clients.
Printer is HP Deskjet F2400.
In the web UI, when I try to turn on the Print Server, it remains set to 'OFF'.
If I try to turn on multiple times, eventually (third time) it changes to show 'on'. But if I click away from the Print Server control page and return, it's still "Off".
This behaviour is the same whether the printer is connected, or not.
Is the print server functionality working with this firmware? If not, which firmware can I install that works?
