DECO P9 - LOW SPEED WHEN CONNECTED VIA CABLE
Hello - I have searched the forum, but unable to see a resolution.
Setup
- Using a Virgin Hitron router (300 mpbs package) and using Deco P9.
- The router has been changed to a modem setting.
- Connected one P9 unit to the router (via cable)
- I have installed three additional satellite P9 units around the house. Two of the units (downstairs) are operating in wifi mode. The third unit is connected upstairs via a cat 6 cable.
- Removed any speed restrictions in the Deco app. Both download and upload limits have been set to 1000 mpbs
Issue
- When doing a speed test in the room where the router is situated, the speeds I am getting are around 300+. I am on the 300mpbs package with Virgin
- When doing a speed test in the room upstairs, the speed I am getting is around 70 - 100 mpbs. This is where the satellite unit is connected via a cat 6 cable.
- Where the other satellite units are operating in wifi mode, I am getting speeds of around 50 - 70 mbps.
Question
- In regard to the speeds in the room upstairs, that has has the hard wired satellite connection, why are speeds so low. Should the speeds be much higher?
- Not sure if the cable is a an issue.?
- Is it possible to get better speed in the upstairs room?
