Model: Archer T3U
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1030.29.618.2019

Hi,

I recently bought an archer t3u plus and noticed that the internet speed is 4x slower than it should be. It probably doesn't use 802.11n, but when I try to switch the mode to 802.11a/n or 802a/n/ac it does not search for the network, only when I switch to auto or 802.11b/g/n it works, but not at full speed, as if it was using b or g.
When I set the channel width to 40MHz in my router it worked but idk why, in the wifi status at 20MHz the maximum speed is 144Mb/s and at 40MHz 270Mb/s
I don't know if it should be like that, but I hope someone will explain it to me.

My router TL-WR841N
Windows10
Drivers- 1030.29.618.2019
20/2

Everything worked fine on my old network card wn722n (v1) but has no drivers for windows10

I don't know anything about it so I hope someone will help me.

  @aybi

Hi, Archer T3U plus supports 2.4ghz(802.11 b/g/n) and 5ghz(802.11 a/n/ac) and TL-WR841N only supports 2.4ghz(802.11b/g/n).

So if T3U was set to 802.11ac, it would not work with 841N.

And for the link speed, the maximum link speed on 2.4ghz of 841N is 300m/s, and T3U plus could reach to 400m/s.

When T3U is connected to 841N, the maximum speed would be capped at 300m/s, so 270m/s is rather good.

  @Heidi_Alp

yea but if t3u plus and my router support b/g/n why not working in full speed i mean only if i switch from 20MHz to 40MHz in my router but not sure if stable. wn722n(v1) with 20MHz works good

If i understand what u say 20/40MHz should works the same but on 20MHz work worse, download is 4x slower

and i noticed today on 40MHz in wifi status i have max 144Mb/s not 270Mb/s  so still i dont know how it works..

Maybe i just change to wn722n v3 and that's all.

Anyway, thanks for your help :).
