Hello Forum,

I have spread all over my place, 4 Decos M5 and 3 M9 Plus workin as Mesh.

Now and because I'm adding some Wi-Fi sensors at my outdoor gates and also some Wi-Fi Cameras, I need two APs that are able to be installed outdoor (IP65 or greater) so I don't get lack of signal on those devices.

I want something that can work with only the network cable without the power cable need, so a PoE device... as is simple to have a 5 or 10 meter network cable than a power cord one also.

What AP antennas do you know that work in mesh with this structure I have?

I was looking at:

TP-Link EAP110-Outdoor but not sure will fit my needs as regarding the mesh and physical connection to the Decos I don't get much information

Thank you all for any advises

  @PedroQuintas

Hi, EAP110-outdoor:

✅ Support POE via a 5-10meters Ethernet cable

✅ Only Broadcast 2.4ghz(But it should be ok for most the smart home devices)

✅ Weatherproof Enclosure-ip65

I think EAP110-out would be the right choice.  But Deco does not support POE, so you might need a POE switch as well, so Deco--<cable>---POE switch---EAP110-out.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I do believe that the EAP110 pack sold for example at amazon do bring the PoE switch... But thank you for the alert as I need to be sure of it.

By the way, do you know if between eap110-outdoor and TP-Link CPE210 is a huge difference? I'll ask it as the cpe210 don't have antennas and will be less seen by everyone when hooded to the outside white wall... I think.

  @PedroQuintas

Hi, I haven't tried CPE210 before and I see in the Bussiness Forum that they are often working in a pair, one as AP to broadcast the signal, the other as the receiver(like a bridge) since CPE210 has a directional antenna and you need to make sure it faces to all the clients.

  @Heidi_Alp Thank you for your input and alert... So probably I'll go with EAP110.
